Subject: Pharmexcil’s Business Delegation to Tehran, Iran (17th to 19th December 2012)
1. With the active support of Indian Embassy in Tehran, Iran and Dept of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India, PHARMEXCIL is mounting a Business Delegation to Tehran, IRAN. The delegation is proposed to visit TEHARAN, IRAN under the MDA (approval expected) activity of the Council.
Export figures in USD mn of this country from India for the last three years are given below for information and to assess the export potential .

2. Iran Pharma market is 3.2 Billion US dollars (Generics 1.78 , Patented drugs 1.13 ,OTC drugs 0.36
In view of the export potential available in Iran currently due to imposition of sanctions by UN, we invite applications from our members to participate in the delegation. The tentative programme & itinerary for the delegation would be as per the following schedule

3. Members may kindly note the following important points Other details like venue etc will be communicated to interested members in due course.

BSMs are proposed to be held at Tehran, Iran
-
Accommodation will be arranged by the Council on the basis of recommendation of our Missions abroad (Hotel tariffs will be informed shortly and payment to be made by participating members directly).

The cost of travel (economy class airfare varies from Rs 35,000/- to Rs 50,000/- depending on airlines)

Members participating in BSM should forward their confirmation along with an advance non-refundable commitment/ fee of Rs. 25000/- (Rupees Twenty Five thousand only). This is a non-refundable amount and can be refunded only if the event is cancelled due to unavoidable circumstances at the instance of our Missions/Council.

4. Assistance under MDA Scheme: (Approval expected)
Members whose export turnover during previous year is less than Rs.15.00 crores and are having one year membership with the council are eligible for MDA subject to the other guidelines of MDA scheme. For eligible members, 100% economy class excursion airfare will be reimbursed, subject to a maximum of Rs.70000/- (Rupees Seventy Thousand only) per company.
